Do You Need a Panel Upgrade?

Some signs your panel is due for attention: breakers trip regularly, you still have a fuse box or a 100-amp panel, the panel feels warm or shows rust, or you’re adding a major load like an EV charger, a hot tub or a home addition. During a visit, we’ll assess your panel’s capacity and condition and tell you plainly whether an upgrade is needed.

Our Installation Process

  1. Assessment — we look at your panel capacity, existing wiring and what the project requires.
  2. Plan and options — we explain the work involved and the choices available before anything starts.
  3. Installation — we run wiring, mount devices and fixtures, and make all connections to meet code.
  4. Testing and cleanup — every circuit is tested under load, and we clean up the work area.
  5. Walkthrough — we show you what was installed and how everything operates.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I need a panel upgrade?

Frequent tripping, a fuse box, a 100-amp panel in a modern home, or plans to add a major electrical load are common reasons to assess the panel. We check its capacity and condition before recommending an upgrade.

Can you install an EV charger at my home?

Yes. We install Level 2 home charging stations. We first check panel capacity, then handle the dedicated circuit, breaker, wiring and charger installation.

Can you add outlets where there are none?

Yes. We can run new wiring and add outlets, switches or dedicated circuits in rooms, garages and outdoor areas, including GFCI protection where required.

Can you install a ceiling fan where there is only a light fixture?

Usually, yes. A fan needs a fan-rated electrical box and proper support, so we check the existing box and upgrade it if needed.

Do new circuits need permits?

Permit requirements vary by city and project. We explain the requirements that apply to your installation before work begins.

Do you test the new installation?

Yes. We test the circuit and installed equipment, verify operation and walk you through the finished work.
